Cub Boys Post Third Straight Win

After dropping their first game of the year, the Alcester-Hudson Cubs earned their third straight victory on Thursday, January 2nd.  The Cubs cruised to a 56-36 win over the Bon Homme Cavaliers.

Alcester-Hudson got off to a fast start and built a 17-10 lead by the end of the first quarter.  The Cavaliers got within four points a couple of times in the second quarter, but a late three-point basket kept the lead at seven points for the Cubs, 30-23, at halftime.  Alcester-Hudson used a big run to start the third quarter to put the game out of reach.  The Cubs scored the first 10 points of the second half to build a 40-23 lead.  The third quarter ended with the Cubs leading 43-28.  They would also outscore Bon Homme 13-8 in the final quarter.

Brody Andrews had the hot hand shooting for the Cubs.  He connected on five three-point shots and finished with 17 points.  Ethan Bovill had 11 points and three steals.  Jose Topete-Lopez had eight points and four rebounds.  Evan Brown added four points and six steals.
