The Alcester-Hudson Cub boys earned their second straight win after an afternoon victory over the Canton C-Hawks on Tuesday, December 31st. After starting the game with a 7-0 run, the Cubs held the lead the entire game for a 57-42 win.
Canton was able to close the gap to 14-10 by the end of the first quarter after the Cubs’ 7-0 start. Alcester-Hudson responded with a 12-6 scoring advantage to take a 26-16 lead into halftime. The Cubs were able to maintain their double-digit lead in the third quarter and extended it to 40-28 going into the fourth quarter. They were able to pull away throughout the fourth quarter for the win.
Jose Topete-Lopez finished with 15 points and nine rebounds. Jacob Cole added 12 points, four rebounds, and three assists. Evan Haak also had double figure points with 11 along with two rebounds. Ethan Bovill had nine points and four rebounds.
