Alcester-Hudson Girls Finish Regular Season with Big Win

The Alcester-Hudson Cub girls finished the regular season with a big home win over the Freeman Academy Bearcats on Tuesday, February 13th.  The Cubs used a big second half to help them to a 61-29 win.  The win snapped a seven game losing streak.

Alcester-Hudson grabbed the lead in the first quarter, but they only led by six, 20-14 at the end of it.  The Cubs extended their lead to 10 points, 33-23, by halftime.  The second half defense by the Cubs helped them to pull away from the Bearcats and cruise to victory.  They outscored Freeman Academy/Marion 28-6 in the final two quarters for the win.

Three players finished in double figures.  Emma Solberg had 17 points, two rebounds, and two assists.  Emily Winquist had 16 points, three rebounds, and five assists.  Elly Doering added 12 points, 13 rebounds, and two assists.  Jenna Manning ended with seven points, four assists, and two steals.  Sarah Ebert had five points and six rebounds.
