The Alcester-Hudson Cub girls basketball team snapped a three game skid with a 45-36 win over the Freeman Academy/Marion Bearcats at the Great Plains Conference Classic in Avon on Saturday, February 15th.
The Cubs defense held Freeman Academy/Marion to single digit scoring in three of the quarters. The Bearcats had just six points in the first quarter, nine in the second, and seven in the third. Alcester-Hudson shot 36% (13-36) overall in the game and were 42% (5-12) on three-point shots.
Emma Solberg finished with 18 points and eight rebounds. Jenna Manning had nine points and three rebounds. Delta Pies added eight points, four rebounds, and three blocked shots. Jaeley Christensen had three steals.
