Watchdogs Pull Away from Cub Girls for Win

The Beresford Watchdogs slowly pulled away from the Alcester-Hudson Cub girls in the second half for a 49-33 win on Saturday, February 8th.

The Watchdogs built a six-point lead, 11-5, by the end of the first quarter.  The lead grew to double digits, 28-17, by halftime.  Beresford outscored Alcester-Hudson 11-6 in the third quarter to make the score 39-23 going into the fourth quarter.  The lead hit 20 points in the fourth quarter before the Cubs scored a few late baskets to end the game.

Jenna Manning had 13 points to lead the Cubs.  Emily Winquist added five points.  Emma SOlberg and Laney Decker each had four points.  Jaeley Christensen, Ayonna Schissel, and Delta Pies all had two points apiece.  Devin Hongslo had one free throw made.
