Regular Season Ends in Win for Alcester-Hudson Girls

The Alcester-Hudson Cub girls ended their season against the Freeman Academy/Marion Bearcats on Tuesday, February 18th, a team they faced in the game prior.  The Cubs ended their regular season with a 52-31 road victory.

Alcester-Hudson built a double-digit lead in the first quarter and never tailed after taking the lead.  The Cubs led 12-2 at the end of the opening quarter.  The Bearcats rallied in the second quarter and cut the lead to 21-15 by halftime.  The Cub defense, however, would hold Freeman Academy/Marion to just three points in the third quarter.  Alcester-Hudson extended their lead to 38-18 going into the fourth quarter.

Emma Solberg led the offense with 11 points.  Devin Hongslo finished with nine points.  Emily Winquist added eight points.  Ayonna Schissel had five points, and Hannah Ahart and Delta Pies both had four points each.
