Lakota Tech Uses Late Run to Beat Cub Girls

The Alcester-Hudson Cubs were on the wrong end of a late run at the Irene-Wakonda Classic on Saturday, January 20th.  The Cubs fell to the Lakota Tech Tatanka by a score of 49-39.

The two teams battled back-and-forth all game long.  The first quarter ended in a 13-13 tie.  The Cubs were able to take a 25-20 lead into the locker room at halftime.  Lakota Tech rallied in the third quarter, and the score was tied 34-34 going into the fourth quarter.  Alcester-Hudson took a 37-36 lead after a free throw with 5:14 to play in the game, but then they were held to just two points the rest of the game.

Elly Doering had 27 points, 11 rebounds, two assists, and two steals.  Alexis Gray added five points and five rebounds.  Jenna Manning had four points and four rebounds.
