The Alcester-Hudson Cubs girls basketball team hosted the Canton C-Hawks on Tuesday, December 19th. The C-Hawks pulled away in the second half for a 63-33 victory.
Canton took the lead in the first quarter and built an 18-9 advantage by the end of the quarter. Their lead only grew by one point in the second quarter, and Canton led 27-17 at halftime. The third quarter is where the C-Hawks really pulled away. They outscored the Cubs 19-6 for a 46-23 lead going into the fourth quarter.
Ellly Doering finished with eight points and seven rebounds. Alexis Gray had seven points. Jenna Manning added six points, three rebounds, and two steals. Emma Solberg also had six points. Emily Winquist finished with four points and five rebounds. Delta Pies had 10 rebounds, two assists, and two steals.
