Alcester-Hudson Girls Rally in Fourth Quarter, but Fall Short

The Alcester-Hudson Cubs girls basketball team put together a rally in the fourth quarter, but came up short against the Bon Homme Cavaliers on Thursday, December 21st.  The Cavaliers held for a 42-35 win.

Bon Homme held a seven-point lead at the end of the first quarter, 13-6.  The Cubs and Cavaliers played pretty even in the second quarter, and the Cavaliers led 22-16 at halftime.  Bon Homme held Alcester-Hudson to just four points in the third quarter and built a 37-20 lead going into the fourth quarter.  The Cubs outscored the Cavaliers 15-5 in the fourth quarter, but ran out of time in their comeback attempt.

Elly Doering finished with 16 points, six rebounds, and four steals.  Emily Winquist had 10 points, three rebounds, and four steals.  Jenna Manning added three points, four rebounds, and four steals.  Alexis Gray, Delta Pies, and Sarah Ebert all had two points each.
