The Alcester-Hudson Cub girls basketball team had a 6-15 overall record and had their 2022-2023 season come to an end in the second round of the regions. This year’s team have three senior starters returning to the team.
Elly Doering, Alexis Gray, and Sarah Ebert all return for the Cubs. Emily Winquist, a freshman, also returns for Alcester-Hudson who saw significant minutes last season.
“I am very excited about this season. We have a small team, but have had a very good first week of practice. We have three great senior leaders that have put in work and are ready to see some success. The underclassmen have been working hard and ready to step up into some big roles this season. I have the expectation that we will be very competitive in our region,” said head coach Shannon Hames.
The Cubs will have two road games to start the 2023-2024 season. They will travel to Colman to play the Hawks on Monday, December 4th and then will travel to play Gayville-Volin on Thursday, December 7th.
