Cubs Finish 2-2 at Bon Homme Volleyball Tournament

The Alcester-Hudson Cub volleyball team finished 2-2 at the Bon Homme Cavalier tournament on Saturday, September 16th.  The Cubs earned wins over Corsica-Stickney and Vermillion, but lost to Avon and Northwestern.

The Cubs won in straight sets over Corsica-Stickney by scores of 25-16 and 25-15.  Elly Doering had eight kills in the match.  Emma Moller had four kills and five digs.  Hannah Ahart had 10 set assists, three digs, three ace serves, and three kills.  Alexis Gray, Baylee Klaschen, and Jenna Manning all had four digs each.

Avon won the match over the Cubs in three sets.  The final scores were 16-25, 25-15, and 25-16.  Gray had six kills, seven digs, and three ace serves.  Doering added five kills, five digs, and four blocks.  Moller had five kills and five digs.  Ahart finished with 17 set assists, nine digs, and three ace serves.  Manning had 15 digs.

Alcester-Hudson won their second match of the tournament in a straight set win over Vermillion by scores of 25-6 and 25-17.  Ahart had 10 set assists, 10 digs, nine ace serves, and three kills.  Doering finished with a team-high four kills.  Gray added three kills and four digs.  Devin Honglso had three kills, three digs, and two set assists.  Carly Patrick had five digs, and Klaschen had four digs.

Northwestern defeated the Cubs in straight sets by scores of 25-15 and 25-18.  Honglso finished with four kills.  Doering added three kills and three digs.  Gray also had three kills.  Ahart had nine digs and five set assists.  Manning had eight digs, and Jaeley Christensen had six digs.
