The Alcester-Hudson Cubs (6-14) ended their 2022-2023 regular season with a Great Plains Conference game against Burke in Centerville on Saturday, February 18th. The Cubs ended the regular season on a high note with a 69-61 win over the Cougars.
The first quarter was placed close, and the Cubs ended the quarter with a 15-13 lead. Alcester-Hudson had a great second quarter and extended their lead to 34-27 by halftime. The Cougars cut into the lead, but just slightly, in the third quarter. The Cubs led 47-42 heading into the final quarter and outscored Burke 22-19 in the final quarter.
Dominic Van Egdom had 20 points, five rebounds, three assists, and six steals. Ethan Bovill had a team-high 25 points and five rebounds. Jose Topete-Lopez had 13 points and five rebounds.
