Alcester-Hudson Girls End Regular Season with Win

The Alcester-Hudson Cubs (6-14) ended an eight-game losing streak and ended the 2022-2023 regular season with a road win against the Freeman Academy/Marion Bearcats on Tuesday, February 14th.  The Cubs won 51-26.

A big first quarter by the Cubs set the tone for the rest of the game.  The Cubs ended the first quarter with an 18-5 lead and then extended that lead to 30-8 at halftime.  Alcester-Hudson outscored the Bearcats 21-18 in the second half for the win.

The Cubs shot 42% (21-50) from the field in the game, 24% (4-17) on three-point attempts, and a perfect 5-5 from the free-throw line.

Three players finished in double figures.  Elly Doering had 19 points, 11 rebounds, and four steals.  Ella Serck had 13 points, six rebounds, two assists, and two steals.  Alexis Gray added 11 points, two rebounds, and two steals.  Emily Winquist, Jenna Manning, Delta Pies, and Sarah Ebert all had two points each.
