Eagles Rally in Fourth Quarter to Beat Cub Girls

The Irene/Wakonda Eagles outscored the Alcester-Hudson Cubs by 10 points in the final quarter for a 57-49 win on Friday, January 20th.

The Cubs had the lead at the end of the first quarter, 12-6.  The Eagles rallied in the second quarter and held a 24-23 halftime lead.  Alcester-Hudson took the lead back in the third quarter and led 38-36 heading into the final quarter.  The Eagles outscored the Cubs 21-11 in the fourth quarter to get the win.

Alcester-Hudson shot 37% (18-49) overall in the game, 17% (2-12) from three-point area, and 55% (11-20) from the free-throw line.

Elly Doering had 18 points and 15 rebounds for the Cubs.  Sarah Ebert finished with nine points and eight rebounds.  Alexis Gray and Carly Patrick both had six points each.  Kayleigh Thompson and Emma Solberg both finished with five points.
