Alcester-Hudson Girls Complete Comeback Against Bon Homme

The Alcester-Hudson Cubs trailed Bon Homme by 12 points early in the third quarter, but they rallied and defeated the Cavaliers 53-50 on Saturday, January 21st.

Bon Homme slowly built a lead throughout the first half.  The Cavaliers led 13-11 at the end of the first quarter and then pushed the lead to 25-18 at halftime.  Bon Homme scored the first five points of the third quarter and led 30-18 with 6:29 to go in the quarter.  The Cubs cut the lead to three points, 32-29, with 3:15 to play in the third, but Bon Homme took an eight-point lead, 41-33, into the fourth quarter.

Alcester-Hudson kept chipping away at the lead throughout the fourth quarter.  They finally got the game tied, 46-46, after two free throws by Elly Doering with 1:56 to play in the game.  The Cubs finished the game on a 7-4 scoring advantage to take the win.

Doering had 18 points, 12 rebounds, and three assists.  Emily Winquist added 12 points, four rebounds, and two assists.  Alexis Gray finished with 12 points, three rebounds, and two assists.  Jenna Manning ended with seven points, and Emma Moller had four points and four rebounds.
