Cubs Volleyball Wins Second Straight

The Alcester-Hudson Cubs earned their second straight straight match win on the road Tuesday, September 13th.  The Cubs traveled to Centerville and defeated the Tornadoes in four sets, ending a streak of three straight five-set matches.

The Cubs won a close first set by just three points at 25-22.  They had no trouble in the second set and cruised to a 25-10 victory for a 2-0 lead.  The Tornadoes took the third set by a score of 25-21, but the Cubs avoided the fifth set with a 25-17 win in the fourth set.

Elly Doering finished with 10 kills, nine digs, and six blocks.  Alexis Gray had nine kills, 11 digs, two blocks, and two ace serves.  Carly Patrick finished with eight kills and three ace serves.  Emma Moller added five kills, 12 digs, and four ace serves.  Ella Serck had team highs in set assists with 32 and digs with 21.  Hannah Ahart finidhed with 20 digs and eight ace serves.

The Cubs (2-4) will host Parker on Thursday, September 15th.
