The West Central Trojan boys track team finished 11th with 24 points and the girls team finished 22nd with eight points at the 2026 South Dakota State A Track Meet in Sioux Falls held Thursday, May 28th through Saturday, May 30th.
Sarah Johnson finished eighth in the 3200m run with a time of 11:47.57. The 4x800m relay team of Aubrey BOrns, MacKenzie Skonhovd, Brooklyn Sunderman, and Johnson placed sixth in 10:00.60. The 4x100m relay team of Avery Pressler, Baylee Poss, Maelee Krempges, and Vera Jesse was seventh with a time of :51.56. The 4x200m relay team of Pressler, Poss, Hadley Borgen, and Jesse took eighth in 1:49.20. The sprint medley relay team of Pressler, Morgan Haneke, Addison Jaspers, and Borns also finished eighth in a time of 4:19.54.
Peyton Tetzlaff had a second-place finish in the 3200m run in 9:38.18 and had a third-place finish in the 1600m run in 4:29.05. Dominic Butts was third in the 110m hurdles with a time of :15.09. The 4x400m relay team of Elliot DeJong, Max Poss, Brody Johnson, and Butts was seventh in 3:35.25. The sprint medley relay team of Peyton Barrick, Keenan Hacket, Butts, and Tetzlaff placed seventh in 3:39.79.
