West Central Boys Place 4th, Girls 5th at Dak-12 Track Championships

The West Central Trojan track team traveled to Tri-Valley High School for the Dak-12 Championships on Thursday, May 14th.  The boys team finished fourth with 84 points.  The girls team took fifth with 74 points.

Brooklyn Sundermann finished third in the 1600m run in a time of 5:41.57.  Sarah Johnson placed fourth in the 1600m run in 5:47.18.  Maddyx Ingalls was fourth in the 300m hurdles in a time of :48.95.  Sadie Wuebben was fifth in the 1600m run in a time of 5:49.04.  Vera Jesse took fifth in the long jump with a jump of 16’1″.  The 4x100m relay team of Avery Pressler, Baylee Poss, Maelee Krempges, and Jesse was second in :51.53.  The 4x800m relay team of Aubrey Borns, MacKenzie Skonhovd, Sundermann, and Johnson placed second in a time of 10:29.30.  The sprint medley relay team of Pressler, Morgan Haneke, Skonhovd, and Borns also finished second in 4:30.45.  The 4x200m relay team of Pressler, Poss, Hadley Borgen, and Jesse took third in 1:48.29.  The 4x400m relay team of Poss, Skonhovd, Lucy Rozeboom, and Addison Jaspers finished fourth in 4:13.08.

Peyton Tetzlaff won the 3200m run with a time of 9:56.74 and took second in the 1600m run in 4:37.77.  Dominic Butts was second in the 300m hurdles with a time of :42.29 and fourth in the 110m hurdles in :15.19.  Ayden Henderson finished third in the javelin with a throw of 139’04”.  Peyton Barrick placed fifth in the 300m hurdles in a time of :44.79.  Zach Nielsen was fifth in the high jump at 6’0″.   The 4x400m relay team of Elliot DeJong, Max Poss, Brody Johnson, and Butts won in a time of 3:31.16.  The 4x100m relay team of Boche Knight, Chase Stromer, Keenan Hacket, and DeJong was fourth in :44.26.  The 4x200m relay team of Knight, Hacket, DeJong, and Butts finished fourth with a time of 1:32.97.  The sprint medley relay team of Stromer, Hacket, Poss, and Briar Horn also took fourth in a time of 4:03.07.
