West Central Boys Win Final Two Matches of Season

The 2025 regular season came to an end for the West Central Trojan boys soccer team, and they ended the regular season with momentum by winning their final two matches.  The Trojans hosted Groton on Saturday, September 27th and then hosted Dakota Valley on Thursday, October 2nd.

West Central was able to even the season series with the Tigers with a 1-0 win last Saturday.  The Tigers had beaten the Trojans earlier in the season, 2-1.  After a scoreless first half, Kevin Cholopray scored a goal in the second half to give West Central the 1-0 victory.

The Trojans ended their season on Thursday with a big win over the Dakota Valley Panthers.  West Central had two goals in the first half for 2-0 lead.  They would find the back of the net three more times in the second half for a 5-0 win.  Cholopray had three goals on three shots on goal on the day.  Josh Wagner and Max Poss also each had a goal.

West Central finished the regular season with a 5-7-1 record.  They are currently sixth in the seed points.  Playoffs will begin on Tuesday, October 7th.
