The West Central Trojan girls put together a rally in the fourth quarter, but they ran out of time as the Lennox Orioles took a 46-40 win on Thursday, January 23rd.
Lennox built a nine-point lead throughout the first quarter. The Orioles led 19-10 going into the second quarter. The Trojans cut into the lead in the second quarter. Lennox led 25-21 at halftime. Unfortunately for the Trojans, Lennox outscored West Central 15-6 in the third quarter to extend their lead to 40-27. The Trojans held Lennox to just six points in the fourth quarter, but they ran out of time to complete the comeback.
Kacey Jaton had 10 points and four steals. Abbi Thornton finished with six points, three rebounds, and three steals. Rayna Goehring also had six points. Ellie Knight added five points, five rebounds, and three steals. Ayla Kramer also had five points.
