Both the girls and boys West Central Trojan cross country teams return a strong core of runners in 2024 from state qualifying teams a year ago.
The girls team finished third in regions and eighth in state last year. Aubrey Borns, Brooklyn Sundermann, Lucy Rozeboom, Sarah Johnson, and Maelee Krempges all return for the girls team. For the boys team, Jonathon Roth, Peyton Tetzlaff, Kade Hruby, Jacob Peterson, and Kyper Hilger are back this season that finished second in regions and seventh at state last season.
“We are excited about this season. We have a great group of runners that are working hard and put a lot of miles and effort into their running. We hope to put another team together that can qualify for the state meet and also place higher than we did last year,” said head coach Joe Caffrey.
