The Humboldt/Hartford Gamecocks scored four runs late in the game to earn a 7-6 win over Colman on Thursday, July 18th.
Colman took an early 3-0 lead in the top of the first inning. The Gamecocks got one run back in the bottom of the second. Colman added three more runs in the top of the third for a 6-1 advantage. Humboldt/Hartford scored twice in the bottom of the third to cut the lead in half 6-3. The score remained 6-3 until the bottom of the sixth inning. The Gamecocks scored two in the sixth and two more in the seventh to take a 7-6 lead.
Broc Haldeman had three hits, one a double, and an RBI. Joe Hanisch finished with two hits and two RBIs. Devon Garry added two hits, including a double, and an RBI. Ryan Healy had two singles with an RBI. Adam Hentges finished with a single and two RBIs. Jonah Rechtenbaugh added a triple. Chad Morrison had a double. Briggs Havlik and Loren Jacobson each had a single.
