The Humboldt/Hartford Gamecocks suffered a 15-0 loss in Dell Rapids to the Mudcats on Sunday, July 7th.
The Mudcats scored two runs in the bottom of the first for an early 2-0 lead. They scored two more in the bottom of the third to extend the lead to 4-0. The big blow came in the bottom of the fourth when the Mudcats scored 11 times. The game then ended on the 15-run rule in five innings.
The Gamecocks were held to just one hit in the game. Joe Hanisch had the lone single. Cole Barthel allowed seven earned runs on three hits and four walks. Carver Hultgren gave up three earned runs on four hits.
