Big Third Quarter Sparks Home Win for Trojan Boys

The West Central Trojan boys used a third quarter to help them to a 54-30 win over the Flandreau Fliers at home on Friday, January 31st.

The game was tied 5-5 with 5:00 to play in the opening quarter.  The Trojans ended the first quarter with a 13-7 lead.  Flandreau went on a 9-2 run to start the second quarter to take a 16-15 lead with 4:45 to go in the quarter.  West Central responded with a 13-5 run for a 28-21 lead at halftime.

The big blow by the Trojans game in the third quarter.  West Central outscored Flandreau 15-4 in the quarter to lead 43-25 going into the fourth quarter.  The Trojans outscored the Fliers 11-5 in the fourth quarter as well.

Will Kuhl had 11 points and five rebounds.  Kolte Garry added nine points.  Connor Mebius finished with eight points, five assists, and four steals.  Luke Knight had eight points and eight rebounds.
