The West Central Trojans hosted the Dell Rapids Quarriers in football action on Friday, October 4th. The Quarriers blanked the Trojans 26-0.
Dell Rapids got the first touchdown of the game, a three-yard run with 3:06 remaining in the first quarter. They added a 58-yard touchdown run as time expired in the first quarter to put the Quarriers ahead 12-0. Neither team scored in the second quarter, and Dell Rapids led 12-0 at halftime.
The Quarriers added another score with 8:13 to play in third quarter on a 73-yard touchdown run. A made extra point extended the lead to 19-0. A final touchdown and extra point came on a three-yard run with 4:09 remaining in the final quarter.
West Central finished with 172 yards of offense, 150 rushing yards and 22 passing yards. Dell Rapids had 301 yards of total offense, 259 rushing yards and 42 passing yards.
