Trojan Volleyball Wins Second Straight Five-Set Match

The West Central Trojan volleyball team won their second straight match that went to five sets on Thursday, September 5th.  West Central hosted the Madison Bulldogs and improved their record to 3-1 with the victory.

The opening set needed an extra point to decide the winner.  West Central opened the match by taking the first set 26-24.  Madison went on a roll over the next two sets.  The Bulldogs won 25-19 and 25-17 to take a 2-1 match lead.  The Trojans were able to force the fifth set with a 25-17 win in the fourth.  The fifth set was a close battle with West Central winning 15-12.

Cambree Ideker, Madi Ingalls, Ella Harden, and Dawson Garry all had eight kills each.  Addison Bartmann and Izzy McKinney both had two kills each.  Ideker also had 15 set assists and 12 digs.  Ingalls tallied 13 set assists, seven digs, and five ace serves.  Avery Nothdurft added 16 digs and three set assists.
