West Central Gets Exciting Win over Tea

The West Central Trojan volleyball team earned an exciting win at the Tea Area Titans on Tuesday, September 3rd.  The Trojans won the match 3-2.

The Titans took a five-point lead midway through the opening set and held for a 25-23 victory.  The Trojans bounced back in the second set.  West Central led 16-12 and rolled to a 25-20 win to even the match 1-1.  After a few ties to start the third set, West Central took a 16-12 lead again.  Tea tied the score 19-19.  The score was tied again 21-21 and 23-23.  The Trojans scored the final two points for a 25-23 win.

The Titans kept the match alive in the fourth set.  They turned a 13-11 lead into a 17-11 advantage and rolled to a 25-16 win to even the match and force a fifth set.  The Trojans took a 6-4 lead early.  Tea rallied for a 5-1 run to go in front 9-7.  The Trojans had the last run, ending the set on an 8-0 for a 15-9 win.

Maddyx Ingalls had 13 kills, 12 set assists, and six digs.  Dawson Garry added 10 kills.  Cambree Ideker finished with six kills, 15 set assists, five digs, and five ace serves.  Avery Nothdurft added 23 digs, five set assists, three ace serves, and three kills.  Adisyn Bartmann, Izzy McKinney, and Ella Harden all had four kills each.
