The West Central Trojan wrestling team took part in the Les Tlustos Invitational in Brookings on Saturday, January 27th. The boys team finished second overall with 187.5 points. The girls team finished 10th with 30.0 points.
For the boys team, Karson Vessells won the 126-pound weight class with a 4-0 record. Chet Carda won the 215-pound division with a 4-0 record.
Kaden Haakinson (106) was third with a 4-1 record. Keaton Vessells (157) also placed third with a 4-1 record. Chandler Carda (165) took third with a 4-1 record. Gavin Pischke (285) also took third with a 4-1 record. Gabe Gebhard (190) had a fourth place finish with a 4-2 record. Rayce Whiting (175) finished sixth with a 1-3 record. Jesse Jost (138) placed seventh with a 3-2 record. Langdon Klinkhammer (144) took eighth with a 2-3 record.
Orlando Whiting (132) had one win. Hayden Whiting (150) also took part in the tournament.
For the girls team, Allison Foote took first place with a 2-1 record. Hailey Fortney placed third with a 1-2 record.
