The West Central Trojan boys basketball team used two big spurts in a 54-49 home win over the Baltic Bulldogs on Monday, January 15th.
The Trojans started the game with a 10-0 run and took a 15-6 lead into the start of the second quarter. They continued to shut down the Bulldogs and led 29-13 at halftime. West Central then started the third quarter with an 11-0 run for a 40-13 lead. Baltic finished the quarter on an 18-7 run to make the score 47-31. The Bulldogs tried to rally in the fourth quarter, but the lead the Trojans built was too much to overcome.
Jake Kuhl had 14 points and eight rebounds. Connor Mebius added 13 points, three assists, two rebounds, and two steals. Will Kuhl had eight points and four rebounds. Crew Heier ended with six points and two rebounds.
