Trojan Girls Drop Fourth Straight

The West Central Trojan girls dropped their fourth straight game on Tuesday, January 2nd.  The Trojans traveled to Elk Point for a battle against the Elk Point-Jefferson Huskies.  Elk Point-Jefferson built a first quarter lead and took the win 69-54.

The Huskies went in front 21-12 after the first quarter of play.  Both teams scored 17 points each in the second quarter, and Elk Point-Jefferson continued to lead by nine points, 38-29, at halftime.  The big blow for West Central came in the third quarter.  Elk Point-Jefferson outscored the Trojans 20-8 to build a 58-37 lead going into the fourth quarter.

Molly Anderson finished with 27 points, two rebounds, and five steals.  Jazelle Jarding had seven points, four rebounds, two assists, and two steals.  Alexa Borns had six points and seven rebounds.  Mara Schultz also had six points in the game.
