Fourth Quarter Run Leads to Sioux Falls Christian Win over West Central

For three quarters the game was back and forth between the West Central Trojans and the Sioux Falls Christian Chargers on Tuesday, January 2nd.  A early fourth quarter run by the Chargers led to their 60-54 win.

The Chargers held the lead for most of the first quarter, but only led by a point, 14-13, after a Trevin Price half-court, buzzer-beater at quarter’s end.  West Central took the lead, 18-17, with 6:10 to play in the second quarter.  The teams went back-and-forth, and the first half ended with a 22-22 tie.  The two teams scored 18 points each in the third quarter, and the score was tied 40-40 going into the fourth.  The Chargers used a 9-0 run to start the fourth quarter for a 49-40 lead, which kept them in front the rest of the game.  The Trojans were only able to get within four points a couple of times in the quarter.

Crew Heier had 19 points to the lead the Trojans.  Connor Mebius had 12 points.  Paden Schulte had six points, five rebounds, two assists, and two steals.  Carter Tetzlaff also had six points in the game.  Jake Kuhl pulled down 10 rebounds.
