The run for the West Central Trojan girls soccer team to another state championship match came to an end on Saturday, October 7th. The Trojans traveled to Tea to play the Titans in the semifinals. Both teams were able to score a goal in the first half for a 1-1 tie. The Titans broke the tie in the second half with a goal and held West Central scoreless to take the 2-1 victory.
These two teams met in the state championship last season with the Titans winning in a shootout for the state title. Tea also defeated the Trojans in the regular season 3-1 in August. West Central ends their 2023 season with a 9-6-1 overall record.
