West Central Volleyball Drops Match to Dakota Valley

The West Central Trojan volleyball team hosted the Dakota Valley Panthers on Tuesday, September 19th.  The Panthers won the match in straight sets by scores of 25-16, 25-19, and 25-19.

Dakota Valley opened the match with a 5-0 run in the first set.  The Trojans cut the lead to one, 11-10, but the Panthers went on a 9-3 run to extend their lead to 20-13 before winning 25-16.  In the second set, the Trojans jumped out to a 4-0 lead.  The Panthers tied the score 6-6, but West Central went on a 6-3 run for a 12-9 lead.  Dakota Valley responded with a 9-1 run of their own for an 18-13 lead.  The Panthers extended the lead to 23-16 and took the win 25-19.  West Central started the third set with an early 3-1 lead.  The Trojans remained in front and led 10-8.  The Panthers eventually tied the score 13-13.  Dakota Valley would take the lead 20-17 and then finish the match on a 5-2 run.

Maddy Ingalls finished with five kills.  Adisyn Bartmann added three kills and two blocks.  Addison Meadors had three ace serves.  Jocelyn Nilson had a team-high 22 digs, while Morgyn Driscoll finished with 10 digs.  Marissa Dobbs had eight set assists, and Ellie Lienhard had seven set assists.
