The 2022 West Central Trojan cross country team qualified both the boys and girls full teams for the state meet, which had not been done in 10 years. The team also had two medal winners at the state meet.
This year’s cross country team will be lead by four seniors, Hadley Larsen, Drew Caffrey, Jazelle Jarding, and Benjamin Strunk.
“We are excited about these teams. The potential is high and hopefully their hard work and determination will pay off. Last year was a great year for West Central cross country for both the boys and girls teams despite injuries that hit several of our runners. We are hopeful for another great season. Our conference is the best in the state, and our region is very difficult,” said head coach Joe Caffrey.
West Central’s cross country season starts Friday, August 25th at the Beresford Invite.
