 The Wood Ducks entered the tournament as the #10 seed and played #7 Salem in the opening round on Friday.  Salem advanced with a 13-3 win sending the Wood Ducks to the loser’s bracket.  The Wood Ducks then faced #6 Dell Rapids PBR.  PBR won a pitcher’s duel 1-0 to advance, thus eliminating the Wood Ducks from post season play.
The Wood Ducks entered the tournament as the #10 seed and played #7 Salem in the opening round on Friday.  Salem advanced with a 13-3 win sending the Wood Ducks to the loser’s bracket.  The Wood Ducks then faced #6 Dell Rapids PBR.  PBR won a pitcher’s duel 1-0 to advance, thus eliminating the Wood Ducks from post season play. The Gamecocks are the #5 seed in the tournament.  Their first game was on Saturday against #4 Lennox.  Lennox took the win 13-4.  The Gamecocks then had to face #9 Colman on Sunday, and they kept their season alive with a 6-1 win over the Colman A’s.  The next game for the Gamecocks will be on Thursday, July 27th against Salem.  They have three chances to win one game to qualify for the state tournament.
