The West Central Trojan softball team ended their regular season undefeated after a 16-0 win over the Vermillion Tanagers on Monday, May 15th. The Trojans scored in every inning while holding Vermillion to just two hits in the game.
West Central scored seven times in the bottom of the first inning, two in the bottom of the second, four in the bottom of the third, and three more in the bottom of the fourth inning. The game ended on the 15-run rule in the bottom of the fourth inning.
Caitlyn Hoff had four hits, two of them doubles, and an RBI. Izzi Parsons had three hits, including a double. Emillee Stofferahn finished with two hits, a home run and single, and four RBIs. Jocelyn Nilson had two hits, one a double, and three RBIs. Ayla Kramer had a home run and three RBIs. Hanna Raethz finished with a double and an RBI. Elisabeth Miller had a single and RBI. Kadence Lupkes added a double. Kaylee Olson pitched four innings and allowed only two hits and two walks with six strikeouts.
