Tea Holds off West Central Baseball

Tea got two timely hits and took advantage of an error to earn a 3-1 win over West Central on Monday, April 24th.

After a one-out double in the top of the third, Tea got two RBI singles and scored on an error to take a 3-0 lead.  The score remained 3-0 until the bottom of the sixth inning.  Deuce Sherard started the inning by reaching on an error.  Brodie Herr doubled to right field scoring Sherard to cut the lead to 3-1.  That was the only run West Central would get in the game.

Brayden Odegaard had two of the three hits, including a double.  Herr had a double and an RBI.  Owen Heath pitched 5 1/3 innings and allowed three runs, two earned, on four hits and a walk with six strikeouts.  Andrew Zimmer pitched 1 2/3 innings and allowed two hits and a walk with three strikeouts.
