West Central Girls Back in Win Column

The West Central Trojans got back into the win column with a 57-44 victory over the Dakota Valley Panthers at home on Tuesday, January 10th.

Molli Thornton provided a big offensive spark in the first half with 19 points.  The defense was very active all night long recording 18 steals in the game.  The Trojans built an 18-13 lead by the end of the first quarter and grew it to 38-19 by halftime.  West Central was able to maintain a double-digit lead throughout the rest of the game for the win.

Thornton finished with 19 points, four rebounds, two steals, and two assists.  Jazelle Jarding had 12 points and five rebounds.  Tessa VanOverbeke added eight points, three rebounds, four steals, and two assists.  Cambell Fischer had six points and eight rebounds.  Molly Anderson added five points and four rebounds, and Mara Schultz also had five points.
