Dakota Valley Gets Come-from-Behind Win over West Central

The West Central Trojans dominated most of the first half and led for over two and half quarters of the game, but the Dakota Valley Panthers earned the come-from-behind win, 55-50, on Tuesday, January 10th.

The Trojans offense and defense were rolling in the first two quarters of play.  West Central led 13-10 at the end of the first quarter, but they built a double-digit lead throughout the second quarter.  The Panthers got on a run late in the quarter and cut the lead to 27-22 by halftime.

Dakota Valley kept chipping away at the lead.  They were able to tie the game, 40-40, with 1:55 to play in the third quarter.  The two teams traded a basket to end the third, and the game was tied 42-42 heading into the fourth.  The two teams went back and forth over the half of the fourth quarter.  West Central took their last lead of the game, 48-47, with 3:45 to play.  Dakota Valley ended the game on an 8-2 run for the 55-50 win.

Dylan Stromer had 19 points and five rebounds.  Crew Heier finished with 13 points, four rebounds, two steals, and two blocked shots.  Brodie Herr added six points and four rebounds.
