The West Central Trojan volleyball team hosted Region 3A foe, Garretson Blue Dragons, on Tuesday, October 18th. The Trojans took the Blue Dragons to five sets, but Garretson won the match.
The Trojans looked to be headed to a match victory after two big set wins to start. West Central won the first set 25-18 and then took the second set by a slim 25-23 score. Garretson, trailing 0-2 in the match, turned things to their favor. The Blue Dragons won the third set 25-12. They then won the fourth set 25-12 to tie the match 2-2. With momentum on their side, the Blue Dragons won the fifth set 15-2 for the match victory.
Josephine Dinges had eight kills and a block. Madilyn Dinges also had eight kills. Ellie Lienhard finished with 15 set assists and three ace serves. Aubree Miller added 11 set assists. Jocelyn Nilson had 32 digs, and Landry Heath finished with 17 digs. Kaia Gabbert tallied three ace serves.
