Both the West Central Trojan cross country teams qualified with top three finishes at the Region 2A Cross Country at McCook Country Club in Salem on Thursday, October 13th. The boys team finished second with 58 points, and the girls team finished third with 50 points.
Brie Peters had a sixth place finish with a time of 19:45.57. Aubrey Borns was 13th with a time of 20:55.54. Bialey Stallman was 14th in a time of 20:57.00. Lucy Rozeboom had a 17th place finish with a time of 21:09.53. Maelee Krempges (28th) finished in 21:48.16, and Ellie McDonald (29th) had a time of 21:50.57.
Benjamin Strunk finished ninth with a time of 17:52.07. Jacob Peterson was 10th at 18:05.13. Johnathon Roth (20th) had a time of 18:22.28. Griffin Stallman (25th) finished in 18:52.78. Kyper Kilger (26th) completed in 19:06.19, and Kade Hruby (39th) had a time of 20:06.97.
Both the cross country teams will run in the 2022 South Dakota Class A Cross Country meet on Saturday, October 22nd in Huron.
