The Trojan boys soccer team hosted Freeman Academy on Friday, September 23rd, and the girls team hosted O’Gorman on Tuesday, September 27th. The boys team suffered a 4-2 loss, while the girls team earned a 1-0 win.
Boys: Freeman Academy 4, West Central 2
The Bobcats had three goals in the first half, while the Trojans scored two times for a halftime score of 3-2 in favor of Freeman Academy. The Trojans, however, were held scoreless in the second half, and the Bobcats got an insurance goal in the half for the 4-2 win. The Trojans fell to 1-7 on the season and will have their last match of the season at Dakota Valley on Thursday, September 29th.
Girls: West Central 1, O’Gorman 0
The Trojan girls soccer team had their 10th shutout and ninth shutout victory after beating the Knights 1-0 at home on Thursday. The two teams played to a 0-0 score at the end of the first half. The Trojans were able to find the back of the net in the second half for a 1-0 win. The Trojans have only allowed two goals all season and remain unbeaten at 11-0-1.
