The pre-season #1 team in 11B, Winner Warriors, held the Mustangs to just 85 yards of total offense and earned a 48-12 win on Friday, August 19th. Tri-Valley had 62 rushing yards and 23 passing yards.
The Warriors held a lead at the end of every quarter. Winner was leading 12-6 at the end of the first quarter. They extended the lead to 20-6 by halftime. The Warriors put the game out of reach with three touchdowns in the third quarter. Winner led 42-6 after three quarters of play. Both teams got a score in the final quarter.
Eli McFarland was 4-6 passing for 23 yards. Austin McNulty had two of the catches for 20 yards. Brody Dybvig had a one-yard touchdown run in the game. Tyler Groenewald had an interception returned 13 yards for a touchdown.
Winner finished with 359 yards of total offense, 325 rushing yards and 34 passing yards.
Tri-Valley (0-1) will host Parker on Friday, August 26th.
