Two Starters Return for Tri-Valley Boys Basketball

The Tri-Valley Mustang boys basketball team will have two returning starters from last year’s team for the 2022-2023 season.  Tri-Valley finished with a 5-15 record last season and lost to Dell Rapids in the opening round of the Region 3A tournament.

Noah Haynes and Braden Oyen are the two returning starters for the Mustangs.  Tri-Valley will look to Trey Johnson, Carter Sorenson, and Logan Ellison as well as other seniors and juniors to step into bigger roles.  Head coach Brandon Feterl said that a few sophomores could also earn their way into some varsity minutes this year.

“I’m exited to get another season going.  More than ever we will be looking to replace major minutes and contributions to our team.  I’m eager to see how the boys react and stop up to fill those roles.  It’s going to be a year of learning for a lot of them, and we expect to do some winning along the way,” said Feterl.

Tri-Valley’s season starts on the road in Parkston on Thursday, December 8th.
