West Central scored two runs in the bottom of the sixth to earn a 3-2 win over Tri-Valley in Region 3B. baseball action in Dell Rapids on Wednesday, May 22nd.
West Central scored a run in the bottom of the first for a 1-0 lead. Nathan Madison had an RBI single in the top of the fourth to tie the game 1-1. Tri-Valley took the lead in the top of the fifth when Cody Lofswold had an RBI single. Tri-Valley continued to lead 2-1 going into the bottom of the sixth. West Central scored two times in the bottom of the sixth to get the 3-2 win.
Madison had a single and an RBI. Lofswold also had a single and an RBI. Treyson Richter, Hunter Foster, and Cyrus Kirstein all had one hit each. Landon Schenkel pitched six innings and allowed three runs, all unearned, on two hits and one walk with seven strikeouts.
