The Tri-Valley Mustang volleyball team traveled to Irene to play in the 4th Annual Irene-Wakonda “I Have a Dream” volleyball tournament on Saturday, August 26th. The Mustangs finished their three matches with a 2-1 record.
Tri-Valley earned a 25-20, 25-20 win over the Canistota Hawks. In that match Emery Pearson and Madelyn Wenzel both had eight kills each. Hillary Hastings finished with three kills. Abigail Wagner had nine set assists, and Emily Wenzel had four set assists. Kenzie Atwood had eight digs, and M. Wenzel had six digs.
The Ethan Rustlers defeated the Mustangs in straight sets by scores of 25-17 and 25-23. In the third match of the day, Tri-Valley earned a match win over Irene-Wakonda by scores of 25-15, 21-25, and 25-14.
