Tri-Valley Maroon 16U Wins Slugfest over Harrisburg

The Tri-Valley Maroon 16U baseball team won a slugfest against Harrisburg in Colton on Wednesday, June 12th.  The two teams combined for 24 hits and 38 runs with Tri-Valley getting the 24-14 victory.

Harrisburg put three runs on the board in the top of the first inning.  Tri-Valley got two runs back in the bottom of the inning.  Harrisburg had a five-run top of the second, but Tri-Valley scored six times in their half of the second.  After two innings of play, the game was tied 8-8.

The third inning was scoreless.  Harrisburg then took the lead again with a single run in the top of the fourth inning.  Tri-Valley took their first lead of the game in the bottom of the fourth with five runs to go ahead 13-9.  After Harrisburg scored three runs in the top of the fifth to make the score 13-12, Tri-Valley scored five more in the bottom of the fifth for an 18-12 lead.  Harrisburg had two more runs in the sixth, but Tri-Valley continued to rally and scored six times in the bottom of the sixth to end the game on the 10-run rule.

Brody Dybvig had five hits, including a home run and two doubles, and nine RBIs.  Tristen Bunde had three hits, one a double, and five RBIs.  Alex Wingen had two singles and two RBIs.  Jackson Williams added a double and three RBIs.  Treyson Ricther also had a double and two RBIs.  Parker Hemme and Gage Egger each had a single and an RBI.  Mason Hemme finished with one hit.

Williams pitched three innings and allowed four runs, three earned, on six hits and three walks with two strikeouts.  Brechen Frederick pitched two innings and allowed eight runs, five earned, on two hits and five walks with four strikeouts.  P. Hemme threw one inning and allowed two earned runs on a hit and four walks with one strikeout.
