Tri-Valley Maroon 14U got an opening round win, 12-3, against Madison White in the Region 4A Tournament in Humboldt on Monday, July 10th.
After Madison White scored two runs in the top of the first, Tri-Valley scored four in the bottom of the inning for a 4-2 lead. They added that lead with a run in the second. Madison cut the lead to 5-3 with a run in the top of the third. Tri-Valley then scored the next seven runs. They had a run in the fifth and six runs in the bottom of the sixth.
Kobe Krome had a hit and three RBIs. Treyson Ricther had a single and two RBIs. Abbott Moeller finished with a hit and an RBI. Cooper Nielsen and Lawson Schneiderman both had a hit in the game. Evan Focken pitched 4 2/3 innings and allowed three runs, one earned, on three hits and four walks with four strikeouts. Schneiderman pitched 1 1/3 innings and recored one strikeout.
