The Tri-Valley Maroon 14U team scored 10 runs in a row for a 10-1 win over Volga White at home on Monday, July 1st.
Volga White scored a run in the top of the first inning for a 1-0 lead, but the lead was short lived. Tri-Valley tied the game in the bottom of the first with a run. They took the lead, 6-1, with a five-run bottom of the second. The lead grew to 9-1 with a three-run bottom of the fourth. The final run for Tri-Valley came in the bottom of the fifth.
Cooper Durick had two hits and two RBIs. Cooper Nielsen finished with a single and two RBIs. Abbott Moeller, Garrit Koopman, and Jaxson Rise all had a hit and an RBI each. Dante Nehman also had a single. Evan Focken pitched four innings and allowed an earned run on no hits and seven walks with five strikeouts. Rise pitched two innings and walked three batters with two strikeouts. Koopman also threw an inning off the mound and allowed one hit.
