Tri-Valley Maroon 14U cruised to their seventh straight win with a 16-2 victory over Flandreau on Tuesday, July 2nd.
Flandreau did hold a lead early in the game. After Tri-Valley scored a run in the top of the first, Flandreau got two runs in the bottom of the inning for a 2-1 lead. The lead remained 2-1 through two innings of play. Then Tri-Valley’s offense took control of the game. They scored six times in the top of the third and then nine more in the top of the fourth for the 16-2 lead. The game ended on the 10-run rule after five innings of play.
Lawson Schneiderman had two hits, one a double, and three RBIs. Paxton Felsheim added two singles and two RBIs. Cooper Nielsen had a double and two RBIs. Daniel Richardson finished with a single and an RBI. Cooper Durick had a double. Reed Smith also had a single. Schneiderman pitched four innings and allowed two runs, only one earned, on no hits and two walks with six strikeouts. Durick pitched on inning striking out all three batters.
